NoTube team members will attend a seminar on the diagnosis and classification of feeding disorders with Irene Chatoor chairing the 2-day workshop. Irene Chatoor, MD, is a well-known expert in the field of infantile feeding disorders, deputy head of the Psychiatric and Psychological Division at George Washington University and head of the Psychiatric Division for Infants at the Children’s National Medical Centre in Washington D.C., USA.

Irene Chatoor, MD

20 years ago, she was one of the first to classify the subtypes of infant feeding disorders and played a major role in classifying early feeding disorders. Peter and Marguerite spent time with her as task force members of the NCCIP in Wahington during the early nineties, which eventually led to the first and only diagnostic classification system DC 0-3R offering 6 subtypes of eating behavior disorders. The possibility to describe and classify eating behavior during the first years of life must be seen as the basis of assessment and helps professionals thorughout the world to understand the complexity of early childhood eating development.

4 members of the NoTube team will attend the workshop, which will take place at the University Hospital in Munich from 3-5 June 2011. Patients interested in the netCoaching or the In-/Outpatient programme are more than welcome to get in touch with NoTube via support@notube.at in order to personally meet with NoTube team members during these two days. Elisabeth, Hannes, Karoline and Sabine are looking forward to meet you!
